The iTILT project was represented at the 2013 edition of BETT, the annual Technology for Education fair, by Margret Oberhofer, the project coordinator, and myself. Invited by SMARTtechnologies we presented a number of the project results in the SMARTboard reception & workshop room. See the snapshots below, from left to right: final check and tweaks of our Notebook file on the local board, Margret describing the freely available training materials and myself demonstrating the features of the iTILT model files and (later) the powerful search options to research the more than 250 classroom video registrations.
Besides getting a good impression of the state of the art in educational technology land (for a brief impression see my personal blog) the day offered us a chance to being updated on latest developments by the managing representatives of our dIssemination partners SMART and Promethean. This also allowed us to ask for their support for our courses in Spain and Portugal later his year so we can offer participants opportunities for hands-on sessions to try out materials on both board brands in both locations.
