German iTILT partners attend conference on “IWBs in Higher Education“
The conference took place on November 14, 2011 at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany in cooperation with SMART and the Academy for Educational Research and Teacher Training. The conference focused on concepts, evaluations and outlooks on the role of interactive whiteboards in higher education and teacher training. Among various interesting workshops and keynotes, including Dr. Cesar Holgado from the University of Tarragona, Spain, the IWB workgroup of the University of Education Heidelberg shared some experiences and examples of IWB pedagogical use in their seminars.
The IWB workgroup is a team of members from various departments from the University of Education Heidelberg. In regular meetings we share and discuss the use of IWBs at our institution and share IWB materials which were implemented in the different courses, e.g. geography, history, mathematics, physical education or English.
Many attendees of the conference were interested in the iTILT project and are hopefully open for further collaborations.
