Eliciting language from secondary learners at IWB

This is revealed to be a computer game called Hetherdale (http://www.bubblebox.com/play/adventure/1747.htm), which the learners are going to be looking at in the next part of the lesson.

Teacher comment

"This was the end of the warmer, with the image now reveled and the learners guessing what it showed. I wanted to get them interested in the vocabulary and grammar activity that was to follow by telling them that it was based on a computer game that they were going to be playing after they had done the language work."

Learner comments

"It was fun to guess what the image was about - none of us thought that it was from a computer game."
