Description

This group of young learners (6th grade secondary school) is giving a presentation on Bristol's famous cartoon figures Wallace and Gromit. They are using the spotlight tool and ask their classmates what they can see. All groups had time to take notes and practice their presentation and the IWB tools.

Es ist wichtig, dass man jetzt die Skills der Schüler, die sie schon haben als Digital Natives, nutzt, und sie gleichzeitig auch den Umgang mit dem IWB lernen lässt. Und Präsentieren an sich ist ja eine Methode die man können muss. Das wird später auch so sein und dann arbeiten sie jetzt mit einem Medium, das später im Beruf bei Präsentationen sicherlich auch den Platz von einfachen PowerPoint Präsentationen übernehmen wird, wenn es nicht jetzt schon so ist.

It is very important to make use of the skills the learners already have as digital natives. They need to practice how to use the IWB. And they need to know how to hold a presentation using the IWB since this is something they might have to do in their professional life as well.

Schüler: Wir haben jetzt auch ein bisschen gelernt bei Präsentationen leichter mit den Funktionen umzugehen. Zum Beispiel das mit der Brille, wo man das verdecken konnte. Das wussten wir davor auch nicht. Wir haben jetzt mehr darüber gelernt und wissen jetzt auch wie man besser damit arbeitet.

Learner: We learned how to use the tools when giving a presentation for example the spotlight tool where you can hide things. I didn't know that before. We also learned how to work effectively with the tools.
