Georgia - Station work - checking the answers with the magic box (2nd group)

Description

This clip shows an intermediate English class during station work. Groups of 5 come to the IWB and label the neighbouring states of Georgia, which is the main topic of the unit. After labelling the states with the pen tool, the learners use the magic box (the box is on the middle layer, while image is on bottom layer and text on top layer) to reveal the correct names and check their answers.

Jetzt gucken sie halt schnell und haben gekuckt "ach nee, schau mal das ist Alabama und nicht Atlanta". Das ist ganz schön, da sie selber wieder wegwischen also kontrolliert haben und so.
They just have a quick look and see: "Oh no, look it's Alabama not Atlanta". That's really nice that they erase it and control it independently.

Ich denke die haben das alles, sie konnten die Tools des Whiteboards selbstständig schon verwenden, weil sie mittlerweile wissen, wie es funktioniert. Sie haben selbstständig ausprobiert, was passiert mit der Magic Box, haben es kontrolliert, haben diskutiert, ob es richtig oder falsch ist. Also es war kommunikativ, trotz des Whiteboards.  Es war nochmal ein Fokus auf die Staaten, also wo ist was.

I think they have used all the tools independently since they already know how to use them. They just tried out what happens with the magic box, checked, discussed whether it is right or wrong. It was communicative, despite the IWB. The task focused on the states and where they are located.

Schüler1: Also mir hat bei der Stationsarbeit das mit dem Whiteboard und den Nachbarstaaten Spaß gemacht.  

Learner 1: I liked the IWB station the most, the one with the neighbouring states.

Schüler 2: Ja find ich das auch gut, das bei dieser Karte mit der Magic Box, wo man das dann so aufdecken konnte. Weil ich es lustig finde, erst sieht man nicht was da steht und dann schiebt man diese Box da rüber und dann kann man es erkennen.

Learner 2: I liked it too, especially the map with the magic box, where you could reveal the things. I thought it was funny, because first you could not see it and then you move the box and then you can recognize it.
