Seasons: matching months and seasons drag and drop

Description

This class of primary school learners of English (9-10 years old) is starting a session on the topic of weather and seasons. In this whole-class introductory activity, the teacher reads out the months of the year and asks volonteers to give the correct season, indicated by trees with different foliage. She then drags the month label to the correct season, and has the learners repeat the sentences: "October is in autumn."

Enseignante :   qu'il disent voilà qu'on attribue à chaque saison les mois et voilà ils ont le souci c'est évidemment quand les mois sont sur deux saisons

Pour l'anglais évidemment l'anglais c'est bien mais c'est vraiment c'est pour tout je suis convaincue du bien-fondé de ça.  Maintenant quelqu'un qui est anti-TBI et qui fait "weather" avec les flashcards et une histoire des trucs comme ça je pense que, au final, ce que retiendront les enfants ce sera la même chose.  Peut-être que le vécu des enfants sera différent, parce que je pense que ça c'est important.  Parce que, au final, ils auront appris les mêmes choses, ils auront entendu les mêmes choses etc, mais le vécu, ce sera plus ludique forcément […] voilà beaucoup plus agréable et je pense que c'est ça [l'avantage du TBI]
For English of course for English [the IWB] is great, but really for everything, I'm convinced of its utility.  Now if someone is anti-IWB and teaches weather with flashcards and a story, things like that, I think that in the end, what the children will remember will be the same.  Perhaps the children's experience will be different, and I think that's important.  Because in the end, they will have learned the same things, heard the same thing etc, but the experience will be more fun […] yes more pleasurable and I think that's the real advantage of the IWB.

En fait on se sert de déplacer les étiquettes par exemple les mois et tout par exemple il y avait automne, on mettait les mois qui appartenaient à la saison d'automne.
In fact we move the labels for example the months and everything, for example there was autumn, and we put the months that belonged to the season of autumn.
