Linguistics English - Higher Education - Word ClassificationUploaded by Sanderin van Hazebrouck, Pädagogische Hochschule Heidelberg (Germany)
This lesson was recorded in a university linguistics session. The trainer is preparing the learners for a linguistics exam. Since the learners are also pre-service primary and secondary school teachers, the trainer also wants to expose them to learning technologies like the IWB. This exercise helps the learners revise the different word classes and emphazises that the same word can be used in a different word class. A table with the words on an infinite cloner helps classify the examples.
Target language: English
Resource language: English
Native language of learners: German

The infinite cloner helps the learners to recognize that the same word can have a different function in a sentence. The table makes the activity clearer and neatly organizes the content.
